Eric En Plein Air™ is a currently developing TV show for American Public Television (APT) which combines painting instruction, travel, art history and culture. “En Plein Air” is the French term for painting outdoors "in open air”. This show follows me, Eric Santoli, as I travel throughout the US and abroad, painting and learning about specific destinations. This show highlights lesser known environments with an emphasis on appreciating, supporting and preserving nature and wildlife. As an instructional program, this show demonstrates the principles, techniques and materials of working entirely en plein air.
Painting outdoors is a very therapeutic way to engage with nature and anyone can do it with a little encouragement and guidance. Viewers may enjoy this as an instructional program and/or as a relaxing travelogue.
